Who is responsible

Kurobi is operated by Mark Isayan, based in Armenia. Questions, requests, and privacy concerns can be sent to contact@devcrafts.io.

What Kurobi handles

Depending on the features you use, Kurobi may handle:

  • Account data: identifiers and authentication information provided through Sign in with Apple and Supabase Auth.
  • Profile data: belt level, training frequency, and the way you currently take training notes.
  • Training data: drills, rolls, competitions, positions, transitions, perspective, repetitions, duration, quality, review outcomes, problem signals, notes, and timestamps.
  • Audio and speech data: optional local audio notes and transcripts created through device or platform speech services.
  • Purchase data: subscription entitlement, product, transaction, and lifecycle information handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
  • Technical data: app version, device platform, controlled product events, diagnostics, performance traces, and crash information.

Local storage and cloud sync

Kurobi is offline-first. Training records and related app data are stored locally using WatermelonDB, with smaller settings and session information stored through platform storage. When you are signed in and cloud services are configured, user-owned records sync to Supabase so they can be recovered and used across supported devices.

Recorded audio files stay on the device and are not uploaded by Kurobi. Audio metadata and any resulting transcript may sync with the related training log. Speech recognition may be processed by Apple, Google, or another speech provider depending on your device and settings.

Analytics and diagnostics

If enabled for a release, Kurobi uses PostHog for explicit product events and Sentry for technical diagnostics. PostHog receives a pseudonymous account identifier and controlled information such as the app version, platform, screen, and action. Kurobi is designed not to send training-note text, audio, transcripts, opponent information, email addresses, AI prompts or responses, or raw error messages to PostHog.

Sentry may receive crash reports, diagnostic logs, breadcrumbs, device and app information, and performance traces. Default personally identifiable information is disabled, but technical reports can still contain contextual information needed to diagnose a failure.

AI features

If AI-assisted features are made available and you choose to use them, your prompt, recent conversation context, and relevant training context may be sent through Supabase to Anthropic to generate a response. AI conversations may be stored locally and synced to your account. Do not include information about another person that you do not have permission to share.

Why data is used

Data is used to provide and secure Kurobi, save and sync your training history, calculate practice and problem views, process purchases, respond to support requests, understand product reliability, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Depending on local law, these activities rely on performing the service you request, legitimate interests in running and improving it, consent where required, or legal obligations.

Service providers and international transfers

Kurobi may rely on Apple, Google, Supabase, PostHog, Sentry, RevenueCat, Anthropic, and Vercel. These providers process data under their own terms and may do so in countries other than yours. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal transfer safeguards will be used.

Retention and account deletion

Account and training data are kept while needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. Deleted individual records may remain in synchronized systems until normal deletion and backup cycles complete. Using account deletion in the app permanently removes the Kurobi account and user-owned cloud data, then clears associated local app data and locally referenced audio. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, and payment providers may retain purchase records for legal and accounting purposes.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can update supported profile fields or delete your account in the app. For other requests, email contact@devcrafts.io. You may also complain to the data-protection authority available in your country.

Children

Kurobi is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to digital services in their country. A parent or legal guardian must authorize use where local law requires it. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data without the required authorization.

This website

This pre-release website has no contact form and does not intentionally set advertising cookies. Vercel may process ordinary infrastructure information such as IP address, request headers, and access logs to deliver and secure the site. If analytics, forms, or additional cookies are added, this policy will be updated.

Changes

This policy may change as Kurobi develops. Material changes will be presented through the app, website, or another reasonable channel, and the effective date will be updated.
